Privacy Policy

Mearri helps YouTube creators use AI to generate multilingual captions for their own videos and apply captions, titles, and descriptions to YouTube. This policy explains how Mearri collects, uses, stores, and deletes personal information and YouTube API Services data.

Mearri complies with the Google API Services User Data Policy and the Google Privacy Policy, including the Limited Use requirements of the Google API Services User Data Policy.

2.1 Google Account Information

• Google OpenID Connect profile information such as email address, name, and profile photo
• OAuth 2.0 access and refresh tokens when you authorize YouTube access

2.2 YouTube Data

• connected channel information such as channel name, channel ID, thumbnail, subscriber count, and video count
• video lists and metadata such as title, description, thumbnail, visibility, and publish date when you click Load my videos and authorize read access
• processing data for videos you select for caption generation or files you upload
• captions (SRT), titles, descriptions, tags, and visibility settings uploaded to YouTube at your request

2.3 Service Usage Data

• caption job records such as source language, target languages, status, result URL, and failure reason
• credit usage history and information needed for payment processing, settlement, and disputes, such as order ID, payment amount, and payment status; and the buyer mobile number entered at checkout (used for card-payment buyer verification and checkout convenience, stored encrypted)
• upload queue status, error logs, security logs, preferences, and basic operational logs such as access time and request path

2.4 AI Processing Inputs and Outputs

• videos, audio, scripts, titles, descriptions, tags, and target language information you provide for caption generation and translation
• outputs generated while using the Service, such as captions, translations, and metadata translations
• Mearri does not require sensitive or government-identifier information such as national ID numbers, full payment card numbers, or health information. You should not upload or enter such information.

• to perform AI caption generation and translation requested by you
• to upload videos, add captions, and update titles/descriptions on YouTube at your request
• to deduct credits, confirm payments, show balances, and restore credits when appropriate
• to provide sign-in, session continuity, and security checks
• to monitor reliability, diagnose errors, and prevent abuse

Mearri does not use or transfer YouTube API Services user data for advertising, external marketing, data sale, or AI model training, and processes it only to provide features requested by you.

Mearri may send limited data to the following processors only as necessary to provide the Service.

• Perso.ai — Speech-to-text transcription for caption generation. Selected video/audio data and target language information may be provided. (Translation is handled by Google — see the Google item below.)
• Google (YouTube Data API) — Google sign-in, YouTube channel verification, video uploads, caption insertion, and title/description updates. Google Cloud Vertex AI (Gemini) is also used to translate captions, titles, and descriptions into other languages; the source caption/title/description text is sent for this purpose.
• Vercel — web application hosting and basic request log processing.
• Neon — database hosting for accounts, job records, preferences, and upload queues.
• KG이니시스 / 포트원(코리아포트원) — payment approval, payment result verification, refunds, and settlement records.

Note: video, audio, scripts, and related data sent to Perso.ai are processed under Perso.ai’s privacy policy solely for speech-to-text caption generation, and Perso.ai does not use such data to train its AI models. For details on the data items, retention, and overseas sub-processors, see Perso.ai’s policy linked below. International Transfers

Some processors, including Perso.ai, Google, Vercel, and Neon, may be located outside Korea or use global infrastructure. Transferred information is limited to what is necessary for the purposes above and is handled under each processor’s security policies and contractual or policy safeguards.

• Transferred items: account information, YouTube API data, caption/translation inputs and outputs, job records, and payment information needed by the relevant processor
• Transfer purposes: sign-in, hosting, database storage, AI processing, YouTube integration, payment approval, and settlement
• Retention period: generally the shorter of the retention period in this Policy or the period needed by the processor to provide its service

We do not disclose data to other third parties without your explicit consent, except where required by a lawful request.

• account information: retained in a recoverable pending-deletion state for 7 days after withdrawal, then deleted automatically if you do not sign in again during that period
• OAuth tokens: deleted immediately from server storage when you disconnect YouTube, revoke Google permissions, or request account withdrawal
• YouTube channel/video cache: retained only as needed for display and reliability, and deleted or no longer refreshed upon request
• caption job records, upload queue records, and YouTube upload records: retained in pending deletion for 7 days after withdrawal, then deleted after the recovery period
• payment and billing records: contract, withdrawal, payment, and supply records may be retained for 5 years, and consumer complaint or dispute records for 3 years under Korean e-commerce law. After withdrawal, user identifiers are anonymized and only the minimum information needed for settlement and disputes is retained separately
• Information is deleted in a way that is difficult to restore after the retention period ends, and legally retained records are kept separately from other usage data.

You may request or directly perform the following at any time:

• access, correction, or deletion of your data
• restriction of processing or withdrawal of consent
• Google/YouTube permission revocation: Google account permissions
• disconnect YouTube from the YouTube settings page in Mearri

Email requests will be handled without undue delay, and where verification is needed we will provide the timing and status within the scope allowed by law.

• All communications are encrypted over HTTPS.
• OAuth tokens and the buyer mobile number entered at checkout are encrypted before storage in the server-side database.
• Sessions are managed through HttpOnly cookies and server-side session records.

The Service uses the following cookies or local storage values for authentication and preferences: mearri_session (session identifier), mearri-theme (light/dark theme), mearri-youtube-settings (YouTube upload defaults).

Mearri does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 14. Minors must have consent from a parent or legal guardian to use the Service.

When this Policy changes, we will post the updated version on this page at least 7 days before it takes effect, and at least 30 days in advance for material changes or changes unfavorable to users.
